Roman Pazniewski - Managing Director
Roman has been involved in or around building sites most of his life. He finished studying Architecture at Sydney University and has been working with Builders or as a Builder since 1981. In 1988 he obtained his Builders Licence and commenced building his own projects. Roman formed Family Home in 1991, and manages all aspects of sales, marketing, preparing plans, obtaining building approvals, preparing contracts, and project managing construction from start to finish.
Halina Pazniewski - Accounts and Administration
Halina is married to Roman. She works part time by assisting Marie in office administration and book keeping. They have two daughters, and in her spare time enjoys a chai latte and chat, gardening and ballroom dancing.
Karen Bolton-Hall - Design Executive
Karen is our Design Executive, and likes nothing more than meeting with clients and helping out with any design or cost queries. Karen has spent her life in the architectural and interior design world and has a wealth of knowledge in the industry. She is refurbishing her own home this year, and is currently researching new products, innovation, and trends. Karen is available to meet with potential clients for a Design Meeting to discuss ideas and plans.
Kevin Casey - Design Executive
Kevin is an award winning designer and he has been in the design industry for over 30 years, most of which has been designing & documenting first floor additions and renovations. He has a passion for design and loves good looking functional homes, as he says: ‘A home must be functional as well as aesthetically pleasing to the eye’. Kevin enjoys seeing the smile on a client’s face both when they see the conceptual design sketch and then walking through the finished product.
Marie Bastoli - Business Manager
Marie’s is the friendly voice you will often hear when you call the office. Marie has been at Family Homes since 2009 and looks after administration & finance; from contracts to project financials to accounts to HR and IT&C. Marie comes with a wealth of business and IT experience. She is passionate about improving processes and finding solutions to provide better service and efficiencies. Marie enjoys sailing, bushwalking, and reading science fiction in her spare time.
Shane Bridekirk - Construction Estimator
Shane became a Construction Estimator after working with Family Homes for 14 years as a carpenter, completing his Certificate IV in Construction and Building in the process. In 2016 he also took on the responsibilities of Safety Officer, which involves making weekly site visits and ensuring worksite compliance. Shane is always keen to improve his overall understanding of the building process from approvals right through to handing over the completed project.
Gavin Kent - Construction Supervisor
Gavin's role is to oversee and manage the day-to-day on site activities. Gavin engages the trades, ensures materials arrive in a timely fashion, and also liaises with our clients regularly to handle any requests or questions. He is there from the start to the very end of a project. Gavin is a licensed builder and has completed his Diploma with Distinctions. He has worked with Family Homes since 2010, and is passionate about his job. In Gavin's recreational life, he loves snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, bodysurfing, and any outdoor adventure activities.
Paul Trecartin - Construction Supervisor
Paul has been in the construction industry for over 20 years. Starting with general handyman jobs, Paul moved on to carpentry and residential renovations in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2002, Paul and his wife moved to Australia, taking on residential renovations and residential building for a further 13 years. For Family Home, he takes on Foreman roles and project supervision.
Grant Kelly - Architectural Drafter
Grant prepares the computer plans and drawings from the proposal stage all the way through to construction. He has earned a Diploma of Building Design at TAFE. Grant shares the Family Home vision of creating beautiful and environmentally friendly homes. His interests include all things architecture, as well as music, travel and gaming.
Jemma Ryan - Marketing Coordinator
Jemma is our Marketing Coordinator who handles all our social media platforms. This includes our Facebook, Tumblr, Houzz, and YouTube channel. Jemma also creates the content for our monthly newsletter. She is currently earning a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Marketing, and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Physics at Macquarie University. In her spare time Jemma enjoys painting, reading, and running.
