From the first sketch to handing you the keys, Family Home has been delivering one-stop design and build services for over 30 years in Sydney.

Meet The Team
From our humble beginnings in 1991, we’ve been committed to growing our group of respected design and construction professionals. It’s time to meet the dream team.
Family Home’s award-winning founding member has been involved with construction for most of his life. With a degree in architecture from the University of Sydney, Roman has been working in construction since 1981 and obtained his builders’ licence in 1988. He now manages sales, marketing, planning, building approvals, contracts and projects for Family Home.
A Family Home member since 2009 with over ten years’ experience in residential construction, Marie is our trusty Business Manager. As a valued member of our leadership team who specialises in business, project and construction management, IT and support, Marie truly understands our business needs and strives to make sure that our systems deliver high quality solutions. She continuously reviews our processes to ensure transparency and better service to you.
As if that wasn’t quite enough to be getting on with, Marie also crews for twilight yacht racing and enjoys bushwalking and reading science fiction in her spare time.
Halina works part time by assisting with office administration and bookkeeping. She’s married to Roman, with whom she has two daughters. In her spare time, she enjoys a chai latte and a chat, as well as gardening and ballroom dancing.
A construction industry veteran with over 20 years’ experience, Paul is the person you want managing and supervising your build. He has a long and successful career in carpentry and residential building work that has taken him to places like Boston, Massachusetts. We’re absolutely thrilled to have Paul on the team as our Construction Manager.
As our Drafter, Grant shares the Family Home vision of creating beautiful and environmentally friendly homes. Grant will be on the job from the proposal stage all the way through to completion, meticulously preparing computer plans and drawings for your project. He has a Diploma of Building Design at TAFE and he loves all things architecture, as well as music, travel and gaming.
Gabriela is the newest member of Family Home. She is responsible for the smooth running of the office and helping with all administrative tasks and invoices. She moved to Australia a few years ago with her husband and daughter. She has a Masters Degree in Economics and working experience from the Czech Republic. She loves spending time outdoors. Everything from bushwalks to camping with her family, scuba diving, and kayaking.
Ashley’s a carpenter with almost a decade of experience in the construction industry. He’s skilled with reading technical documents and training junior carpenters and apprentices, and has worked in Wales, England, and now Australia. On the weekends he enjoys playing golf.

- We will finish your project on the day promised. (Subject to an extension of time for events beyond our control.)
- To pay you an agreed amount per day in the event that the project runs over schedule.
- That your project will be completed for the quoted price — without hidden costs or surprise charges. (Excludes variations agreed to with the owner and provisional allowance adjustments.)
- To have weekly meetings with you onsite to keep you informed, answer questions and address any concerns you may have about your project.
